Who's Wright?

My name is Taeler Wright, I am a 21 year old senior at Slippery Rock University. I am an Integrated Marketing and Communications major and a Business Administration minor. I am currently in a class called News media Journalism, which is used to help us determine what is considered "newsworthy" and the most effective way to reach our audiences. I use social media outlets for personal use but I am hoping this class can help me add substance to my accounts. Our generation is obsessed with technology and using their social media accounts so I want to be able to use my own as a platform to get information out to those who may need it. Being that this blog is going to be focused on news in our area this could be beneficial for my peers to take interest in.

For my legacy media outlet I chose CNN. I chose to use this source because it has a wide range of coverage about important events going on in the world and because it is a highly credible source. My non legacy outlet was Cosmopolitan and KicksonFire, I choose these websites because I choose to keep up with both the fashion and sneaker industry. I chose to name my blog Wright About It because I thought it was a clever play on words since my last name is Wright and each blog post will have a little of me in them. These stories will be from my personal experience whether they happened to me or I was in the area when it happened. Im still new at this and just bear with me and we take this journey together.
